HIGHTEK'S DRAG RACING UTE

The Hightek Brakes ute has undergone a dramatic transformation over the last 6 months from a daily driven work ute to now a dedicated drag racing ute.

Thanks to the ongoing support, engine work and tunning from Rob and the boys at The Horsepower Factory in Dandenong our last meeting at Heathcote Park Raceway on Sunday 1st March 2009 produced our best time of 11.5sec @ 120mph from the naturally aspirated 5.7L Gen3 LS1 V8.

We hope to get the ute into the 10 second bracket over the next 12 months with more engine work and possibly a NOS kit.

With the current setup the ute is making 322rwkw which has sent it down the 1/4 mile at 120mph and achieving a best time of 11.5sec.
